Statistics of the Ubuntu Linux last.fm group show 1524/1622 men and 98/1622 women. Thats 94% men and only 6% women; Linux still seems to be a geek thing to use...
On average, women today live six to seven years longer than men. Death-professions like Uranium mining or erecting scaffolds are a men's thing, women in turn occupy first places in TV consumption at any time of day. A men's thing? Many liberal thinkers, feminists especially, assert that the connection between sex and death, or at least sex and violence is one forged only by patriarchal culture. They note that the violence component of sex-and-violence is preponderantly a male phenomenon, and is most often directed against women.
