"THE ANT AND THE CRICKET"
Jean de La Fontaine's fable

The careless cricket
Sang the summer away
Just to find herself
Poor and with nothing to eat
No fly, no bread
In the winter to have.

Hungry and whining
To the ant she went
Begging for something to have
Just out of kind heart
As to be able to eat
Till the good season comes:
Swearing by her faith
Next August she would refund
With interests and capital sum.

The frugal ant, who double thinks
Before anything she lends
-“How did you spend your summer away?”
Thus asks straight out.
And the cricket:-“My dear friend,
I did nothing but sang day and night”-
“Well done, my dear friend,
Now you can also dance”

Now day's update:
One cold winter day the ant saw the cricket running fast.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“I am a bit late. I have a plane to catch. I am giving a concert in Hawaii.” Was the answer.
Next week the same story. The ant was sick and cold drinking tea at her window. The cricket was again on the run.
“Hi there”, he said “sorry but I have to be on time for my concert in New York!”
One more week passed and the cricket again was running by the ant’s window:
“I am in a hurry for my solo concert in Paris!”
“If you see La Fontaine, tell him to go fuck himself” shouted the ant after him…
